I'm looking for some feed back on Futurewood Smartfence?
http://www.futurewood.com.au/fencing.html (http://www.futurewood.com.au/fencing.html)

How do you like it? Does it look good?
Did you put it up yourself?
How easy is it to do?
What is the price per Meter?
Did that include frames or was that an extra done yourself?

Haven't heard of it but I think it looks good!

Will be interesting to see if anyone else has experience with it.

This product is just coloured plastic.
Remember the huge devaluation that similar fake cladding products did to house values in the 1970s. Fake products are tacky and will put off a lot of people.

And if that's not enough to dissuade anyone, then consider that this is so far as I can tell - a petro-chemically derived plastic product. High-energy, high-pollution. non-renewable, landfill unfriendly. :yuk:

Wood is natural, beautiful and renewable. Don't settle for fakes.:censored2:

I'd avoid the product if it's plastic myself.

There is a new product on the market made of alloy that is textured like timber that has been developed for a six star hotel in Dubai.
They have it in Red Cedar, Jarrah,Light oak and Kwilla.
It's all fairly pricy but they guaranteed by the manufacturer for 7 years* for all industrial commercial application including right on the beach, in one of the harshest known climates for powder-coating to endure.

I have linked some photos below but the site does not contain any of the Eurowood look to date.

Site is www.screenloc.com

I think I will pass on the plastic wood, the last thing I was is that tacky feel about my home.

FSBO thanks for the link , do you know what the costs are of such a alloy fence?
I'm very interested in seeing the wood style in the alloy.

Plastic is not for me , look great new but a few years down the track it could be a different story.
